On 1st. of April there is "Humor Day" in Odessa. So I flew to Odessa one day before.But the main reason was to meet again with my beloved Girlfriend that I have missed over 6 weeks.
In Vienna the weather was like I imagined it to be usually. Rain, Wind, Rain, Cold,...
Although there are less UIA Flights to Odessa then in the previous year there are still not enough passengers to fill the airplane. The Ukrainian Stock exchange and the Ukrainian Currency (Griwna or UAH) have risen remarkable from their lows, but the Real Economy is still lagging and so the passengers for Flights are reduced.

In Odessa it is foggy without rain. At the moment I dont make Photos during the flight as it is not allowed to use electronical devices. The dishes seems to be also reduced according to the economical environment. It still tastes but it is not so delicious arranged then before.
The concurrent Carpat Air has cancelled their flights from Vienna Airport since UIA reduced their prices to their level . But now UIA starts to increase prices again - starting with 15% and additional 40% in Summer. In combination with the bad starting time for the return flights during working days (5 o' clock in the morning ) I start to be angry about that. Maybe I have to try the flights via Warsaw or Prague. But they are very uncomfortable for me.
On the Aeroport Odessa the Taxidrivers want 300grn to drive me to the City (города) of Odessa. As my Life Telephoncard this time does not work (Everything is possible) and my Orange usually also not works near the airport I have to accept the reduced price of 150grn (with gnashing teeth). Still to much because the return transfer costs only 30grn + Tips (At 4 o' clock in the morning). I drive again with Sergej. This means Pure Fear and stomach trouble. He uses usually the wrong lane of the street and drives not foresighted but with maximal risk as often as possible with sliding wheels.
Compared to winter the traffic is normalized. Sergej said this is because now there is enough parking space.
They start repairing the streets by milling the top surface. This results in streets with partly lowered surface because they dont fill them immediately with asphalt. The cars have to drive zigzag and with low speed. Sergej used this to overtake them driving everywhere not allowed.

As someone has written in the Internetforum that there are no public telephones I want to show that in the City (города) of Odessa there are many. In yellow or blue. But I have not seen someone using them...everyone has cellphones.

The City fills with Odessits and Tourists sharing Humor Day. From small simple shops to big concert show stages the streets are filled. There are diverse activities around subject humor. From mystical to poetical and to simple masks you can see everything. I suggest that i saw a lot of power and happiness in the faces of the odessits.

After a fantastic lunch we went to the beach, enjoying the sun. Still a little bit cold but spring has started.
Also in our hearts. Some conservative odessits seem to be surprised by such expressive outfits, some starre static but most say: сладкий = sweet.
